Whit Taylor is a cartoonist, writer, editor, and public health educator from New Jersey. She has a BA in cultural anthropology from Brown University and received an MPH in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Boston University School of Public Health. She worked as an editor at The Nib and co-edited the reproductive justice collection Comics for Choice. She received a Glyph Award and two nominations for her autobiographical comics Watermelon (2012) and Boxes (2014), as well as an Ignatz nomination for her miniseries Madtown High (2013). Recent works include Harriet Tubman: Toward Freedom (Center for Cartoon Studies) and The Anthropologists (Sparkplug Books), which was selected as a Notable Comic for Best American Comics 2015.
