Matteo Farinella is a nonfiction cartoonist and science illustrator. After completing a PhD in neuroscience, he decided to leave the lab behind to follow his lifelong passion for drawing. He started collaborating with scientists to create comics on topics ranging from consciousness to climate change. His books include Neurocomic (Nobrow); The Senses (Nobrow 2017); and the Women of Science Tarot (2020), produced in collaboration with Massive Science. He currently serves on the editorial board of Graphic Mundi and volunteers as an art editor for Science for the People magazine.
