About the workshop:
You’ve been around the block with Procreate a couple times, but you’re not totally comfortable with alpha lock and clipping masks, or you want to be more efficient when you’re coloring your artwork. This project-based workshop will challenge you to use new Procreate tools and settings as you make a four-panel comic. The workshop is led by Crucial Comix editor Audra McNamee will go over a comics-making workflow in Procreate, along with an in-depth exploration of the app’s sub-menus. Bring all your Procreate questions!
Date:
This is a 2-hour online workshop on Wednesday, January 29 from 5-7pm PST/8pm-10pm EST. The workshop is capped at 25 participants. Everyone who signs up will receive a Zoom link via email and then a recording of the workshop afterwards.
What you need:
• An iPad and Apple pencil
• The drawing app Procreate (which is $13 in the app store)
About the teacher:
Audra McNamee is a nonfiction cartoonist who has been working with Procreate since 2016. Audra is currently working on comics about the neuroscience of psychedelics with neuroscientist Luca Mazzucato at the University of Oregon, and has taught comics classes at Portland Community College. Audra is also in charge of operations for the University of Oregon Science and Comics Initiative.
